Since none of our children needed a place to live, a good thing...we decided to rent out the upstairs as the downstairs is already rented.
However that meant going through and packing up 20 years accumulation of STUFF--Bill Wegener said it would be a good exercise---I admit it was the most exercise I have have in a long time but I don't think that is what he was talking about. I am sure our children will one day be grateful that there will be less to go through when we die.
It was a little hard to put away all those things we love but we have great renters and feel all will be well.
Shortly after getting our call we were contacted by the MTC to ask if we wanted a tutor for German. Of course we said yes and we have had a wonderful experience with Sister Kitterman, our tutor. She works with each of us via Skype to learn German. It has been a great experience, however I will say that trying to pack up your house and get all the paperwork for visas, making sure our wills and trust are done as well as making sure all our property is in the trust, making sure all needed repairs are done on the house......well it just goes on, but we are happy we have done it and look forward to the first day at the MTC .
